Recently Japanese students tend to go to the U.S. to study English. Those who want to learn genuine English can get a lot of chances to improve their English in United States. But some people give up studying English before the graduating from their university because it is tough studying English in a different culture. Even though some people might come back to their country because of pressure, studying English in USA is worthwhile and also fun. There are several reasons. These include correct English, culture and opportunities.
The first reason is correct English. We can get a lot of good points studying in the USA because it has a nice surrounding. There are three advantages. These are international students, native students and teachers. In Japan, we usually don’t have enough chances to meet English speaking people. In the US, we can have more opportunities than in Japan. In Japanese universities, we are taught but after class, we talk with our friends in Japanese. However in US, whenever I want to go or study, I use is English. However suddenly I change my surrounding and it I was difficult for me. So we need to alter our environment gradually. The means is to talk with international students. Because those people who have poor English are easy to communicate with. So you don’t need to be upset because your English is poor. Even though their English skills are not good, speaking English with them is good practice. After you can talk with them naturally, you can switch to native speakers. This is the very reason why we come here. The beginning part of speaking to native speakers is really tough but if you can overcome that, eventually you will probably get real English. For example, current English which includes slang and jokes can’t be learned in Japan. This is the advantages of studying English in USA. Finally, the teachers as the name suggests will become really nice source of learning because they speak academic English.
Secondly, studying English in USA requires us ton of things. For instance, you can get new thinking people from other countries people and need to be used to new surroundings. There are many people who are from various countries. This means that we have a chance to meet a lot of people that have different thinking I have never thought. We need to get it because in the future we probably a have job which we can meet people form other countries, especially international jobs. If you don’t know other cultural background and their thinking, you will have problems. For example, someone has different thinking and other cultural thing that you have never known. Most people will be upset about that and then they can’t communicate with them. The reason for this problem is that new things are hard to get accustomed to. So you should get various ideas in advance. In addition to this, you need to be used to a new environment. By coming here, you might know different cultures and new information about USA. Often, our information is far different from reality. In this point, if you come here and get knowledge, you truly know about other culture. However, it is difficult to understand all things especially traditional things in different countries but that will be useful when you get job. In two reasons, getting new information and new surrounding, you will certainly get advantages of studying English in USA. I would like to suggest to you that you use and are required these knowledge when you are on work. Even if you don’t recognize it, at work these skills are needed.
Finally, as a teenager or in the early twenties you can experience a lot of things. By the time you become teenager, you have already gone through various activities in your own country. However you have not done all things which you can do in Japan, you absolutely get chance that is very new and valuable. Besides to this, Japanese universities don’t have enough majors but American Universities have a lot of majors. Thus if you can’t find your major, you can find it in America. These are really good points for studying English in USA. The most important reason is nice environment for learning English. Everywhere you go, you need to speak English and also have to read in English.
In conclusion, this means these surrounding surely help us study English. Even if you go to Japanese universities, you can improve blush up your English skills. But you want to learn other countries culture including America deeply. Besides this, you have feeling that make friend who is not from Japan. It is good studying English in USA.
